Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for Jehovah has spoken, I have nursed and brought up sons, and they have rebelled against Me.


Stand still and wonder! Blind your eyes and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.


Therefore so says Jehovah, Ask now among the nations; who has heard the like of this? The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.


O earth, earth, earth! Hear the Word of Jehovah!


I looked on the earth, and, lo, it was without form and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.


Hear, O earth; behold, I will bring evil on this people, the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to My Words, nor to My Law, but have rejected it.


Mountains, hear Jehovah's case, and the constant foundations of the earth. For Jehovah has a quarrel with His people, and He will plead His case with Israel.


And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.


Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
