6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.

They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.


who sharpen their tongue like a sword, they tread their arrows, even a bitter word,


A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.


An ungodly man plots evil, and his lips are like a burning fire.


a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.


so that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the stranger who flatters with her words.


Behold, the name of Jehovah comes from far, burning with His anger, and uplifting of smoke; His lips are full of fury, and His tongue like a devouring fire.

There is nothing from outside a man which entering into him can defile him. But the things which come out of him, those are the ones that defile the man.


And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.


Also men shall arise from your own selves, speaking perverse things in order to draw disciples away after them.

Do they not blaspheme that worthy Name by which you are called?


For every kind of animals, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of sea-animals, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind.


First, knowing this, that there will come in the last days scoffers walking according to their own lusts


Therefore if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, ranting against us with evil words. And not content with these, neither does he himself receive the brothers. And he forbids those who would, and casts them out of the church.


And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent called Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.


And it deceives those dwelling on the earth, because of the miracles which were given to it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth that they should make an image to the beast who had the wound by a sword and lived.


And the light of a lamp will never more shine at all in you. And the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride will never more be heard at all in you. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by your sorceries all nations were deceived.


And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.
