And the men rose up from there, and looked toward Sodom. And Abraham was going with them to bring them on the way.


And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do,


And there came two angels to Sodom at evening. And Lot sat in the gate of Sodom. And Lot rose up to meet them when he saw them. And he bowed himself with his face toward the ground,


And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before Jehovah.


And He said that He would destroy them, if Moses His chosen had not stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, so that He should not destroy them.


Then Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Send them out of My sight, and let them go out.


Should evil be repaid for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before You to do good for them, and to turn away Your wrath from them.


And I sought for a man among them who should wall up a wall for the land, and stand in the break before me, that I should not destroy it. But I did not find one.


But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking up intently into Heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.


First of all, then, I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
