And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


And Jehovah smelled a sweet odor. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.


Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!


How then can man be justified with God? Or how can one who is born of a woman be clean?


Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.


All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, each one to his own way; and Jehovah has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.


and the cares of this world, and the deceit of riches, and the lust about other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful.

You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.


Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.


For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I do not find.


What if God, willing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction;


For who makes you to differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?


Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.


But the Scripture shut up all under sin, so that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.


in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience;


For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,


And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled


But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope.


Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm.


But they who will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which plunge men into destruction and perdition.


For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.


as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance,


having eyes full of adultery and never ceasing from sin, alluring unstable souls, having a heart exercised with covetousness. They are cursed children


For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were escaping from those who live in error;


because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.


Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true Light now shines.
