And he lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.


And they arose out of Midian and came to Paran. And they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave him a house and appointed food for him, and gave him land.


God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covers the heavens, and His praise fills the earth.


And the sons of Israel pulled up stakes in their journeyings out of the wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.


And the people pulled up stakes from the Graves of Lust to Hazeroth, and stayed at Hazeroth.


And afterward the people moved from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.


And they left and came to Moses and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh. And they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.


And Moses by the command of Jehovah sent them from the wilderness of Paran. All those men were heads of the sons of Israel.


For we will not inherit with them on the other side of Jordan, or forward, because our inheritance has fallen to us on this side of Jordan, eastward.


We will go over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, so that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.


And, they said, If we have found grace in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession; do not bring us over Jordan.


And they pulled up stakes from Rimmon-parez and pitched in Libnah.


And they pulled up stakes from Libnah and pitched at Rissah.


The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.


You shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan to be cities of refuge.


And when we left our brothers the sons of Esau who lived in Seir, through the way of the Arabah from Elath, and from Ezion-geber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.


And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you today.


These are the words of the covenant which Jehovah commanded Moses to make with the sons of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which He made with them in Horeb.


And Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.


And he said: Jehovah came from Sinai and rose up from Seir to them. He shone forth from Mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints. From His right went a fiery law for them.

And now Jehovah your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them. And now turn and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah has given to you beyond the Jordan.


And to the half tribe of Manasseh, Moses had given possession in Bashan. And to its other half Joshua had given possession with their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. And also when Joshua had sent them away to their tents, then he blessed them.


that the waters which came down from above stopped and rose up all in a heap, very far from the city Adam that is beside Zaretan. And those that came down toward the sea of the plain, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over across from Jericho.


And it happened, when all the kings who were on this side Jordan, in the hills and in the valleys, and in all the coast of the great sea over against Lebanon heard, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite,


and all that He did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, who was at Ashtaroth.


And Samuel died. And all the Israelites were gathered, and lamented him and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.
