Then he said, Do you know why I come to you? And now I will return to fight with the ruler of Persia. And when I have gone out, lo, the ruler of Greece shall come.


And now I will declare to you the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia. And the fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.


And a mighty king shall stand up, one who shall rule with great power and do according to his will.


And after you shall arise another kingdom lower than you, and another third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth.


After this I saw, and lo, another, like a leopard, which had four wings of a bird on its back. The beast also had four heads; and rulership was given to it.


The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.


And as for that being broken, and four stood up in its place; four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in its power.


For I have bent Judah for me as a bow; I filled it with Ephraim, and I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and make you as the sword of a mighty man.
