This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the inheritance of his word from God.


He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no path.


He has also settled them forever and ever; He has made a decree which shall not pass away.


I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.


By mercy and truth, iniquity is purged, and by the fear of Jehovah men turn away from evil.


Mercy and truth preserve the king; and his throne is upheld by mercy.


Jehovah of Hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory and to bring into contempt all the weighty of the earth.


This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones, so that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will, and sets up over it the lowest of men.


Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stunned for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke and said, Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream is to those who hate you, and its meaning to your foes.


It seemed good before me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done with me.
