4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own authority? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.

I know also, my God, that You try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things. And now I have seen with joy Your people who are present here to offer willingly to You.


And also, because I have delighted in the house of my God, out of my own treasure of gold and silver I have given to the house of my God over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,


the gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds of work by the hands of skillful workers. And who is willing to consecrate his service this day to Jehovah?


And the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to Jehovah. And David the king also rejoiced with great joy.


They conceive mischief, and bring forth evil, and their belly prepares deceit.


For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, You know it altogether.


Behold, he labors in pain with iniquity, and he has conceived mischief, and has brought forth falsehood.


And Moses said, You will see when Jehovah shall give you flesh to eat in the evening and bread to the full in the morning, when Jehovah hears your murmurings which you murmur against Him. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah.


The sons of Israel brought a willing offering to Jehovah, every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all kinds of work which Jehovah had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

But food does not commend us to God. For neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.


Therefore he who despises does not despise man, but God, who also has given us His Holy Spirit.


But without your consent I was willing to do nothing, that your good should not be of necessity, but willingly.


Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. And sin, when it is fully formed, brings forth death.


And Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you. For they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.
