But the centurion and those guarding Jesus, seeing the earthquake, and the things that took place, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this One was Son of God.


And all bore witness to Him and wondered at the gracious words which came out of His mouth. And they said, Is this not Joseph's son?


And fear came on all. And they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen up among us; and, God has visited His people.


The officers answered, Never did any man speak as does this Man.


And hearing, the nations rejoiced and glorified the Word of the Lord. And as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.


And the Word of the Lord was carried throughout all the country.


who was with the proconsul of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He called for Barnabas and Saul and asked to hear the Word of God.


But Elymas the conjurer (for so his name is, if translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.


Also Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the gospel, the Word of the Lord, with many others also.


And some days afterward, Paul said to Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brothers in every city where we have announced the Word of the Lord, to see how they are holding to it.


But Gallio being pro-consul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rushed against Paul and brought him to the judgment seat,


And this happened over two years, so that all those living in Asia heard the Word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.


So the Word of God grew mightily and prevailed.


Therefore if Demetrius and those craftsmen with him truly have a matter against anyone, the court days are kept, and there are proconsuls. Let them plead against one another.


And all of the men were about twelve.


In the quarters about that place were lands to the chief of the island, whose name was Publius. Welcoming us, he lodged us courteously three days.


And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.


Then, indeed, having earnestly testified and having spoken the Word of the Lord also having preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans, they returned to Jerusalem.
