Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, He is in the desert! Do not go out. Behold, He is in the secret rooms! Do not believe it.


Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.


Blessed is that servant when his lord comes and finds him so doing.


Lord, now You will let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word.


He shall also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.


that you may distinguish between things that differ, that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Jesus Christ,


so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world,


For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we are looking for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,


in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.


And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


that you keep the commandment without spot and without blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.


so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. And to those who look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation.


Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.


so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,


Beloved, I now write this second letter to you, in which I stir up your pure mind by reminder


as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction).


And everyone who has this hope on him purifies himself, even as that One is pure.
