And the days of Israel to die drew near. And he called his son Joseph, and said to him, If now I have found grace in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh and deal kindly and truly with me. Please do not bury me in Egypt.


If a man die, shall he revive? All the days of my warfare I will wait, until my change comes.


For his days are fixed, the number of his months is with You, and You have set his bounds so that he cannot pass;


Is there not a warfare to man on earth? Are not his days also like the days of a hireling?


It is but a little while, and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall search his place, and he shall not be.


Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.


And He will bring on them their own iniquity, and He will cut them off in their evil. Jehovah our God shall cut them off.


a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;


And shall not God avenge His own elect who cry day and night to Him, though He has been long-suffering over them?


not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord."


And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, your days are coming near to die. Call Joshua and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, and I shall charge him. And Moses and Joshua went. And they presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.


Vengeance and retribution belong to Me. Their foot shall slide in time, for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come on them make haste.


For we know Him who has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay, says the Lord." And again, "The Lord shall judge His people."


And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment,


Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God who judges her is strong.


May Jehovah judge between me and you, and may Jehovah avenge me of you. But my hand shall not be on you.


May Jehovah therefore be judge, and judge between you and me, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.


And now, my lord, as Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, since Jehovah has withheld you from coming to shed blood, and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now let your enemies, and those that seek to do evil to my lord, be as Nabal.


And it happened about ten days afterward Jehovah struck Nabal so that he died.


And David heard that Nabal had died, and he said, Blessed is Jehovah who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and has kept His servant from evil. For Jehovah has returned the wickedness of Nabal on his own head. And David sent and spoke with Abigail, to take her to him for a wife.


And Saul said to his armor-bearer, Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised ones come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armor-bearer would not, for he was very much afraid. So Saul took a sword and fell on it.


And Saul died, and his three sons, and his armor-bearer, and all his men, that same day together.
