You said, I am pure, without transgression; I am innocent, and no iniquity is in me;


For Job has said, I am righteous; and God has taken away my right;


Do you think this to be right, you that say, I am more just than God?


Will you also set aside My judgment? Will you condemn Me so that you may be justified?


The young man said to Him, I have kept all these things from my youth up; what do I lack yet?


But he, willing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?


The Pharisee stood and prayed within himself in this way: God, I thank You that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-collector.


For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.


And Samuel came to Saul. And Saul said to him, You are blessed of Jehovah. I have done the command of Jehovah.


Now go and strike Amalek, and completely destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.


And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive. And he completely destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.


Because you did not obey the voice of Jehovah, nor execute his fierce wrath on Amalek, therefore Jehovah has done this thing to you now.
