Do you see how Ahab humbles himself before Me? Because he humbles himself before Me, I will not bring the evil in his days. But in his son's days I will bring the evil on his house.


because your heart was tender and you have humbled yourself before Jehovah, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against its people (that they should become a waste and a curse, and have torn your clothes and wept before Me), I have heard you, says Jehovah.

For we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.


Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?


Vengeance and retribution belong to Me. Their foot shall slide in time, for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come on them make haste.


who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.


but revealed His Word in its own times in a proclamation, with which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior,)


Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up.


Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.


My brothers, take the prophets who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering ill, and of patience.
