The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.


Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and he who sets a way, I will show him the salvation of God.


And what will you do in the day of judgment and in destruction, of ruin when it comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?


Then the presidents and rulers sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom. But they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful. Neither was there any error or fault found in him.


It is enough for the disciple that he is like his master, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?


Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for My sake.


Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

And so the secrets of his heart become revealed. And so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.


For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity; not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God; we have had our conduct in the world, and more abundantly toward you.


But I pray to God for you not to do evil, none. And not that we may appear approved, but that you should do the good things, though we are deemed to be reprobates.

among whom we also had our way of life in times past, in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.


For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,


Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel,


Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.


so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.


for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.


Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.


well reported of for good works: if she brought up children, if she lodged strangers, if she washed the feet of saints, if she relieved the afflicted, if she followed after every good work.


Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.


Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!"


Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good conduct with meekness of wisdom.


For such is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men;


having a good conscience, that while they speak against you as evildoers they may be shamed, those falsely accusing your good behavior in Christ.


If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory, and the might forever and ever. Amen.


Then, all these things being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness,
