And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.


Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.


And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.


And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.


and forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:


then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:


Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.


If I covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:


He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, And it profited me not;


As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.


Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;


Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; For I am desolate and afflicted.


Look upon mine affliction and my pain; And forgive all my sins.


For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.


For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.


But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: And they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.


Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.


But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.


For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; And plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.


He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.


Such is the way of an adulterous woman; She eateth, and wipeth her mouth, And saith, I have done no wickedness.


And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.


How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;


Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.


Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.


Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.


Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.


And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:


Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.


And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.


Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.


and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.


And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.
