So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;


They compassed me about also with words of hatred; And fought against me without a cause.


Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: But I will meditate in thy precepts.


Behold, as the eyes of servants Look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; So our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, Until that he have mercy upon us.


His enemies will I clothe with shame: But upon himself shall his crown flourish.


But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.


Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.


Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.


Let the lying lips be put to silence; Which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.


Our soul waiteth for the LORD: He is our help and our shield.


Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.


Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.


And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.


But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.


The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him.


Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.


But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.


But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
