And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.


And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.


Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.


For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And favour the dust thereof.


Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: Let the heathen be judged in thy sight.


I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.


How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.


Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.


But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.


and honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.


Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.


For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:


For the LORD shall judge his people, And repent himself for his servants, When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is none shut up, or left.
