As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: As he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.


A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: And the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.


There shall no evil happen to the just: But the wicked shall be filled with mischief.


The heart knoweth his own bitterness; And a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.


The simple believeth every word: But the prudent man looketh well to his going.


A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; And with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.


If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.


Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.


Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.


Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.


Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.


For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.


and them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.


but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.


For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.


But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.


For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.


Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
