O that thou wert as my brother, That sucked the breasts of my mother! When I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; Yea, I should not be despised.


And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.


Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.


And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.


And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:


I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.


And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.


For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.


how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
