So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.


And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.


The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.


The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: He maketh the devices of the people of none effect.


I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: And I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.


My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; And my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:


Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.


Thou hast a mighty arm: Strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.


O sing unto the LORD a new song; For he hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and his holy arm, Hath gotten him the victory.


Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.


Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.


Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.


Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
