And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.


Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies.


There were they in great fear, where no fear was: For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: Thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.


Take away the dross from the silver, And there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.


Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:


and I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:


Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!


And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.


The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,


Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.


But thou hast utterly rejected us; Thou art very wroth against us.


My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.


Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.


Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.


I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
