in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.


and all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.


and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:


And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:


and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.


For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.


For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.


Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.


Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.


that thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.


And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
