And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.


He turned their heart to hate his people, To deal subtilly with his servants.


and he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.


And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.


For their feet run to evil, And make haste to shed blood.


Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; But who is able to stand before envy?


For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; And their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.


The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.


By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
