And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?


And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.


and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:


For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.


and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.


for he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.


And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.


But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.


But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
