Then there passed by Mid´i-anites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ish´maelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.


And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.


Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sido´nians.
