but bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.


After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedo´nia and Achai´a, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.


For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.


And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:


Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.


Then Anani´as answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:


distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.


And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.


praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.


Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.


Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.


For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
