In that same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphra´tes:


And the name of the third river is Hid´dekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphra´tes.


David smote also Hadade´zer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphra´tes.


And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphra´tes:


turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphra´tes.


From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphra´tes, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.


And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphra´tes; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.


And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.


And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,


And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.


And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.


And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
