then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee.


For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.


Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?


As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.


Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.


Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.


Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.


They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.


My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.


But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.


My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
