Psalm 30:1

And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.


And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.


And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David a house.


Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!


that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.


And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the Lord, two and twenty thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.


But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Jo´ab.


lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.


Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.


I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.


O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.


And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.


Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.


Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.


By this I know that thou favorest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.


I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.


Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? Let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.


We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.


All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?


Now I Nebuchadnez´zar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.


And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.
