Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manas´seh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.


Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.


whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:


to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.


The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.


Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
