Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.


Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.


because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High:


So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.


The Zido´ni-ans also, and the Amal´ekites, and the Ma´onites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.


They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?


For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
