Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.


For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.


She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.


A wound and dishonor shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.


Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.


But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.


Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.


and lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
