And it fell on a day, that Eli´sha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that, as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.


Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.


They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.


For the lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:


to keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.


He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;


that they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.


And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.


But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.


And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.


For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:


And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.


But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
