And Rizpah the daughter of Ai´ah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.


A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.


Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.


Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.


There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.


There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:


For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.


A son honoreth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?


And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.


And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
