And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.


According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.


And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was showed thee in the mount.


And he made two cherubim of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;


And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the Lord commanded Moses.


And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,


who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount.


It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
