Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:


because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:


For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.


harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:


And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.


And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?


Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.


And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:


How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?


This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.


O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?


But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted. Then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.


Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?


For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not:


surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:


How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.


And the Lord's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,


Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.


He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.


But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works; that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.


But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:


If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.


Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God,


For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.


And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
