And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him today? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.


And Shebani´ah, and Jehosh´aphat, and Nethan´e-el, and Ama´sai, and Zechari´ah, and Benai´ah, and Eli-e´zer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and O´bed–e´dom and Jehi´ah were doorkeepers for the ark.


Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.


and with them Heman and Jedu´thun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jedu´thun were porters.


And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.


Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.


And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.


in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.
