for Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,


And of the sons of Bani; Meshul´lam, Malluch, and Adai´ah, Jashub, and She´al, and Ramoth.


Of the sons of Hashum; Mat´tenai, Mat´ta-thah, Zabad, Eliph´elet, Jer´emai, Manas´seh, and Shim´e-i.


Mag´pi-ash, Meshul´lam, Hezir,


Rehum, Hashab´nah, Ma-asei´ah,


Meshul´lam, Abi´jah, Mij´amin,


and Ma-asei´ah the son of Baruch, the son of Col–ho´zeh, the son of Hazai´ah, the son of Adai´ah, the son of Joi´arib, the son of Zechari´ah, the son of Shi´loni.


And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshul´lam, the son of Jo´ed, the son of Pedai´ah, the son of Kolai´ah, the son of Ma-asei´ah, the son of Ith´i-el, the son of Jesai´ah.


of Ezra, Meshul´lam; of Amari´ah, Jeho´hanan;


And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.


And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:


And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the Lord their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the Lord their God.


Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jesh´u-a, and Bani, Kad´mi-el, Shebani´ah, Bunni, Sherebi´ah, Bani, and Chena´ni, and cried with a loud voice unto the Lord their God.
