Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.


Then they cried with a loud voice, in the Jews' speech, unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.


And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.


My God, think thou upon Tobi´ah and Sanbal´lat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadi´ah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.


In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.


What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.


O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.


In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.


He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.


Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.


Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.


And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
