And the woman said to Eli´jah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.


And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:


And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.


The Levites: the children of Jesh´u-a and Kad´mi-el, of the children of Hodavi´ah, seventy and four.


And Mattani´ah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbuki´ah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammu´a, the son of Galal, the son of Jedu´thun.


The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the Chronicles, even until the days of Jo´hanan the son of Eli´ashib.


and his brethren, Shemai´ah, and Az´arael, Mil´alai, Gil´alai, Ma´ai, Nethan´e-el, and Judah, Hana´ni, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.


Also Jesh´u-a, and Bani, and Sherebi´ah, Jamin, Akkub, Shab´bethai, Hodi´jah, Ma-asei´ah, Keli´ta, Azari´ah, Joz´abad, Hanan, Pelai´ah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.


Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jesh´u-a, and Bani, Kad´mi-el, Shebani´ah, Bunni, Sherebi´ah, Bani, and Chena´ni, and cried with a loud voice unto the Lord their God.


And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.


But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.


that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.


Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephun´neh the Ken´ezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Ka´desh–barne´a.
