Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.


The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barab´bas.


But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barab´bas unto them.


Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barab´bas. Now Barab´bas was a robber.


And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
