Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the Lord. And the people did according to this promise.


But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.


And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart from that place.


And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.


And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.


in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.


but, after thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;


and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomor´rah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;


the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:


but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.


Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.


Even as Sodom and Gomor´rah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
