Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.


Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?


And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zeb´edee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zeb´edee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.


And James and John, the sons of Zeb´edee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.


And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;


And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Al´pheus, and Thad´de-us, and Simon the Canaanite,


And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.


And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.


And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Eli´jah did?


There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Did´ymus, and Nathan´a-el of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zeb´edee, and two other of his disciples.


Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.


For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.


And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
