And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him a house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.


but we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jon´adab our father commanded us.


I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.


And I that am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.


Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.


And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations; ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.


And Ba´laam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.


How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!


For we know that, if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
