They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.


The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.


the conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;


Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.


Nevertheless, these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.


And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.


And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:


Nevertheless these ye shall not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
