Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.


Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.


And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abi´hu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.


Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abi´hu, and seventy of the elders of Israel;


And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basins, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.


And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abi´hu, Ele-a´zar and Ith´amar, Aaron's sons.


and the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.


And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.


And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basins, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass.


and he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the Lord commanded Moses.


And Aaron took him Elish´eba, daughter of Ammin´adab, sister of Naa´shon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab and Abi´hu, Ele-a´zar and Ith´amar.


We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the Lord our God, as he shall command us.


they have built also the high places of Ba´al, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Ba´al, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:


And they built the high places of Ba´al, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.


Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,


in that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?


And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.


And the Lord spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the Lord, and died;


and he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the Lord, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:


They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the Lord do sanctify them.


And there came a fire out from before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.


And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun.


And Nadab and Abi´hu died, when they offered strange fire before the Lord.


Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Ko´hathites from among the Levites:


What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.


and hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;


Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.


which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
