And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons-in-law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons-in-law.


Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.


Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?


And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.


And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?


How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?


And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?


These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.


Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
