At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.


Even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.


While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.


He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.


and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.


that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus.


to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,


unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.


For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
