With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.


With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.


Art thou the first man that was born? Or wast thou made before the hills?


Then was kindled the wrath of Eli´hu the son of Bar´achel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.


When Eli´hu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.


Furthermore Eli´hu answered and said,


Eli´hu spake moreover, and said,


Eli´hu also proceeded, and said,


Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord.


Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.


Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;


Young men likewise exhort to be soberminded.


Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
