then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.


When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?


even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.


Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.


Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.


because they have committed villainy in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the Lord.


and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?


Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.


O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.


and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.


And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.


and said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.


Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
